So for the last couple days when going to look at our saved recordings, a couple of Christmas movies have shown up in the list. We did not choose to record these. It has happened twice now. How is this happening?

Greetings @RyeEncoke!
That's definitely strange...
Have you double checked your Scheduled Recordings to see if anything is amiss in there?
Is it possible that someone accidentally hit the Record button? It is close enough in proximity to the Guide button that it's possible to fat thumb a misinput.

I don't think so but I suppose it's a possibility.
If one movie is scheduled, but the actual movie that runs is different. Once the video is saved would it still keep the name of the original movie or would it show the actual name of the movie.
So if they advertised say, The Godfather, and that is what we clicked on to save. But if the movie that actually ran was The Graduate. What would show up in the saved programs, The Godfather but would run the Graduate, or would it actually say The Graduate. Because if it is the second option then that is a possibility.

Occasionally, the originating network can run a different movie or TV episode than what is shown in the Guide. As far as I know, that incorrect metadata gets stored with the recording so there will always be a mismatch.
It can get even weirder. Try playing a recording that is almost one year old and about to get auto-deleted, then press Pause. You will almost certainly see a title on the timeline that is COMPLETELY different from what you are watching and what is in the PVR listing.
