How to turn voicemail notifications on or off:
Voicemail notifications are turned on by default.
To turn the Message Waiting indicator (i.e. the light that flashes or screen notification) on or off:
Dial *98 from your home phone.
Enter your voicemail password. If you’ve forgotten it, you can contact us to recover your password.
Press 4 for Personal Options.
Press 1 for Outcall Notification.
Listen carefully to the third and fourth menu options here. The message will be different based on the current state of the Message Waiting Indicator When the indicator is:
Already ON: pressing 3 turns it off.
Already OFF: pressing 3 to turns it on.
Pressing 4 will always keep the current setting.
To make other changes, press * to return to the previous menu. If you’re done with your changes you can hang up.
Keep in mind…
When this feature is turned off you’ll also no longer be notified by a “stuttering” dial tone when there are new voicemail messages.
Select the Automatically forward my new Home Phone voicemail messages to the wireless number checkbox and enter your 10-digit wireless number (no dashes).
Select Submit to save.
Keep in mind…
All forwarded voicemail messages will be marked as saved when checking by phone or as read when you log into Online-Voicemail.
If the Voicemail to MMS feature is set to forward the message to a non-Rogers number, you will only receive messages for voicemails that have been left by Rogers, Fido, or Chatr users.
