I know there have been some things going around about this but wanted to know and hope it could be fixed with a carrier update or something. Since going to the XS Max my LTE down speeds near home has dropped from 40-60 to 6-10MB/s.
I've already done all the regular troubleshooting options. I'm currently in North Vancouver.

This isn't a carrier issue. This seems to be affecting many in the US, Canada and in Europe. It seems like it's a issue with Apple not the carriers. I'm having the same issue and I'm not with Rogers. Both in WiFi and LTE.

I think it's more complicated. There are people whose speeds have doubled and performance is amazing.

Yes however this isn't just a carrier issue. This has been a issue once again in the US, Canada and around the world.
Its been known that Intel doesn't make powerful mobile chips. Apple had performance issues with them last year vs the Qualcomm ones. It's a known fact that Intel isn't as past as Qualcomm on performance wise.
Again. This isn't a Rogers issue. It's the chip inside causing the issue which needs a software update or worse a actual entire new chipset. Unfortunately Apple won't make a comment either..
Rogers can't be blamed for slow WiFi either. My buddy has the X and I also have the 8 Plus. They both work fine on Rogers and Telus. Once I pop in the sim into my XS Max, the speeds slow down in WiFi and LTE. Even on Telus it's doing it. I get 1-2 bars on LTE and WiFi is slow in a living room with 3 huge windows. With the 8 Plus and S9+ on Telus and Rogers I get full bars and WiFi is speedy. That points to the antenna and the chipset that handles the handoffs in the phone.
You can't really blame Rogers on that since the service works but not in this handset.
Some are lucky enough not to have issues but many others have issues. Looking on many sites ( Mobilesyrup, 9to5mac, macrumors) & more can reveal many that are having this exact same issue and it's been posted by many tech journalists round the world..
Here are reports about slow WiFi speeds even posted on the Apple Community forums with many reporting it..

This one is the same as what problems you are having..

So again. This isn't a Rogers issue.. This is a issue within the phone and Apple. Rogers can't do anything unless it's their networks causing it but it's not.

Correct it is not a carrier issue even though Apple is quick to blame all the carriers. I know people on the Bell network with the same exact problem. So how come all the people all around the world are having the same problems? Maybe Apple should make a phone that is compatible??
