Hey guys!

Google just announced the Google Pixel and Pixel XL! Great phones with great features! Let's discuss more here!

1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Google Pixel and Pixel XL to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; Google Pixel and Pixel XL Black and what other colors they may release it on. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

Rogers screwed those who selected ship to me option. its a new way of ore buying and it doesn't work. they just lied.. very sad.. now i left without a phone on launch

why rogers reps are not responding? why did advertise that the fastest way to get the phone was to select ship to me option yet you never even bothered to ship or process transactions? Rogers respond!

What do u want then to respond too? The option is to ship at home. This means they will ship the devices to customers home when they have it. The reservation system gets first dibs as u know this as well. The newe option is there so people don't go to the store and do the upgrade.

You will get the phone when u get it. If u want the device that bad, check a store out tomorrow ( the launch day) and see if they have one. Again they could be shipping them out tonight as well.

It all depends on what stock Rogers gets from the manufacturers. So if they haven't received much stock, then yes the reservations will be delayed. Hopefully they do get more in!

This is exactly what it says on the rogers website "Will I get my device faster by picking up at store or shipping to home?
You will receive your device faster by paying today and having your device shipped to your home than by waiting to pick up and pay at a store. It’s also more convenient!"

After two months of waiting for a Note 7 preorder (and in hindsight, I guess I was lucky to never get one) I'm not going to get my hopes up that I'll have a device on day one.  I know the majority of the issues with the Note 7 were entirely Samsung's fault, but my preorder was not shipped to store so I would have it on launch day.

If the same thing happes here (Preordered a black XL 128G on 11-Oct), I won't be entirely surprised but I will still be disappointed.

 

When I tried to do the 'ship to me' option I kept getting errors on the web site.  The only option I had was to ship to the Rogers store in town.  As a result, I wasn't able to use the "get it faster" option.  I wonder if I'll even get it this month?

Yes but what is Rogers going to do without devices id they don't have any? Also thay statement goes towards u not waiting in store doing the transaction there meanwhile u wait an extra day or so to get it at ur home.

" Your reservation does not guarantee you will receive a phone on launch day or before everyone else, rather that you will be among the first to get it."

This goes towards what you said as well.

Your reservation for the Note 7 got cut off due to the first recall on Sept 2nd. They didn't process any of them afted that date. So most if not all the blame goes to Samsung.

Meanwhile with this, Rogers gets whatever stock they get. Many do not understand that and tend to blame the carriers. Carriers get only what they get. Until then I am afraid many will have to wait. Again even Best Buy is having trouble getting the Pixel and Pixel XL.

Store are allowed to get small stock to sell to walk ins. Same can get go any company which does pre orders yet u find their products in stock in stores. That's how the ball rolls.

In the end u have a choice. U picked to have it shipped to ur home. Now you can wait and get it that way and get the pre order bonus OR if u find One in store tomorrow, go grab it.

they lied to us.. 

 

what is the trueth? i just want to get rid of my note 7 and selected the option of ship to my house. yet, it hasnt shipped and will likely not ship at all for 2 months due to low stock.

i want them to respond to why they lie to customers. they said its the fastest way to get the device. yet.. its no true..

Please also read the FAQ for the Reservation system which the pre order to home option works on... It tells you that you may not get it at launch. So really they are not lying to anyone. It's your choice to read the fine print and FAQ which is on the page u signed up to get the phone.

In the end u will get your phone when it comes in. If u choice to get it at a store ur choice but u won't get the pre order bonus.

Again no one lied to u. No one said u will get it at launch. No one said u will be the first one. All it says isnu will get it faster using this method then the reservation system. Don't confuse both or others.

No one lied. Please stop trying to derail the thread with what u think Is a lie. On the page u signed up to reserve the device, it shows u this " Pick up and pay in store Pay now and get it faster
Ships in 3-4 week"

when you say THIS IS THE FASTEST WAY TO GET THE DEVICE you shouldnt follow up with a statement (BUT READ THE FIND PRINT).. this is crazy!!!

Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. It doesn't state you will get it at launch and it doesn't state u will be the first one. All it states that it's a faster way to get it. Now again u have 2 choice. Either wait it out or get it in store. Also all carriers even Best Buy are having majority of their stock coming in slowly with low inventory..
