I have been using Rogers WiFi for about 18 months now. I got the plan renewed in December 2023. I am moving out and wanted to cancel, but the agent told I will be charged around $250 cancellation fee. When I got the service in December 2023, I wasn't told about the contract and I did ask agent about this. I know you might have a transcript of the conversion. Please look into it. This is not a good Customer Service.

At the time of the promotional renewal, there would have been a document sent to you via email/mail which outlined the terms and conditions of the offer. Did you have a chance to review that info to confirm if a term offer was part of the agreement?
In order to retrieve a phone recording, you'll need to call in to customer service at 1-888-764-3771 during regular business hours and request to speak with a manager.
