I recently had to transfer my mobile services from Shaw to Rogers.
When I received the SIM card, it came in an 8 x 10 in bubble mailer. First of all, since this is an eSIM, there is really no need to waste a SIM card and no importantly, mailing it using the bubble mailer which can't be recycled either under the paper or plastic category.
I don't understand why Rogers does not just send the QR code for the eSIM to the user via an email. It saves them money and keeps unnecessary trash from our ever growing garbage pile.
What's worse is that since I had two phones that I moved to Rogers, they sent me two separate packages for the eSIMs even though they were under the same account name. Lastly, they did not even bother asking me if I needed a regular SIM card, which I did, for our older phone, so they sent us yet another package with the correct SIM card.
This is definitely not a good way for me to start a relationship with Rogers.

Please understand that we chose to use physical eSIMs and to send them in separate, specifically marked packages for security purposes to avoid the potential for identity theft. Email is not a secure way for us to provide eSIMs.
It is intended that one transfer kit will be sent per phone number. This means Shaw Mobile accounts with multiple lines will receive multiple kits.
Every kit is designed for a specific phone number. To protect customer security, the transfer kit will only be compatible with the mobile device (based on IMEI) currently used with the associated phone number.
I understand it's a tad inconvenient to have multiple packages sent to you, but I hope that helps to clarify why we're sending you individual kits for each phone number. If you have any other concerns or questions, please let us know.
