Good morning,
In August, I financed a new phone from Rogers for my personal line, and added a plan to my old (bought) phone for my business. My health has taken a major decline with my neurocognitive disease and therefore, I am unable to work or operate a business and do not need the second line on my owned phone.
Preface: When I bought the 2 plans I had to go to the store front 3 times as they mixed up the plans and put a ton of protection etc. on my old phone and all the data plan etc. They assured me it was fixed, and I was with my partner at the time that was there for it all.
Fastfoward to 2 weeks ago. I called to ask them to cancel the second line and explained the circumstances. They said I would have to pay for the new financed phone because the plan on my old phone had the financing for the new phone on it. I explained the plans and the problems, they escalated to the president's office who also enforced I have pay for my new phone to cancel a plan on a phone I own.
No resolution has been come to, and now I have not received any communication with them since the last email and call they sent. This just does not seem right, and with my dementia, I am confused easily and I just feel I am getting taken advantage of. I may have to get my power of attorney involved, however, I just didn't feel that was necessary for such a simple request.
