Rogers Home Phone Port-In Process

Slomojo
I've been here awhile

Just moved to Rogers and asked to have previous home phone # move over to Rogers phone service. Didn’t happen as yet. How long does it take?

Good day @Slomojo !

Welcome to the Rogers Community and thanks for your post! 🙂

Typically speaking, it usually takes about 3 business days to complete the port in of your landline from your old service provider to Rogers. It can, however, take up to 10 days depending on the complexity of the transfer and your old service provider.

I hope this helps!

Will I be notified bia email or SMS that it has happened ?

Re: Rogers Home Phone Port-In Process

Hello again @Slomojo,

I hope you are well! 🙂

Unfortunately, we do not send any notification once the port-in has been successfully completed. If porting in a phone number, as soon as the technician successfully completes provisioning, the number should be active right away.

Please note that for Ignite Home Phone, you'll need to plug your handset directly into the Rogers Ignite WiFi Gateway modem to receive the home phone service. Have you tried this already?

Thank you!
