Payment was made to a rogers account which was closed down long time ago . Please help

Update: today, i have called rogers customer service and they said that they didn't see the money in our closed account, but RBC states they money already reaches rogers side. If that's the case why is our money now showing?? seems like i am in the same situation as this guy: https://communityforums.rogers.com/t5/Account-Support/Misapplied-Payment-to-old-account/td-p/525055
