I’ve been grappling with significant issues related to my Rogers Ignite promotion package, initially promised to leverage a fiber connection. Upon installation, it became clear that fiber was not installed at my residence, and I was left with traditional cable instead. This setup resulted in internet speeds well below expectations, with downloads under 1.5 Mbps and uploads at 8.9 Mbps.
After being informed on 2/28/24 that we had exhausted all possible improvements and still not meeting the promised standards, I was assured of my eligibility to cancel. However, trying to reach the retention team to process this cancellation within the 30-day window has been a challenge.
Further complicating matters, despite reaching out to resolveaconcern@rci.rogers.com for assistance, I’ve been unable to finalize the cancellation. It’s crucial to note that I am within my rights to cancel within 30 days from the activation date of my Rogers Ignite promotion package, but the process has been fraught with hurdles.
Given the absence of fiber installation at my residential location and the ensuing service shortcomings, I’m seeking the community’s advice on the best course of action. I’m even considering taking the hardware directly to their main office as a last resort.
Any suggestions or insights on how to effectively proceed with the cancellation would be greatly appreciated.
