I live in BC. PST and GST should only be 12%. When I have internet with Rogers they charged me 62 after tax, which is 26% for tax. I can see the 12% of tax before promotion, but why I need pay 12% of the original price instead of what I should get from 50 a month.
Negotiated with them, they say the tax was set up by the province, not their problem. Is this normal?

Hello @beth01 ,
Thanks for joining our community! That does seem a bit strange, indeed!
Since you are located in BC, I would guess that your internet services are with Shaw, is that correct? If so, you would want to get in touch with them, once again, to determine why that is happening and if it's legit. You may visit their community forums here, or check out their 'contact us' page here.
On the Rogers end, we charge the taxes after the promo has already been applied when it comes to residential services.
I hope this helps!
