I was asked to move from Fido to Rogers by technician after the fido box wasn't working great and i was given only one option which is to move to Rogers.
Fido is a part of Rogers, the bill was affordable and it was working great.
After moving to rogers, 1 year discount is good but one the discount is over the new bill is 3 times of that.
This seems like a good strategy to fool people to move to rogers so the bill can be set high.
This was also added as part of 2 year contract so you can't get away with this without paying cancellation fee.
