Ignite TV Recording Inquiry

Graham052
I've been here awhile

I am think about upgrading to Rogers Ignite TV and Internet, I am currently still using the old PVR box which I really like. The good thing now with my PVR is, I can still watch my recordings because they are stored locally, on my PVR.

If I upgrade to Ignite can I access any new TV recordings I record on the new device when Rogers goes down, which is happening frequently lately? I guess my question is; are the recordings stored locally on a drive so I can access them without internet or remotely on the cloud?

@Graham052 Ignite TV recording is a cloud record.  There is no local storage.  So, if Rogers internet or TV goes down (like last night) you can't watch your recorded shows.

@Graham052 : One advantage of having the recordings in the cloud is that it will take place even if you have a power failure in your home/area.
