New Rogers - Possible Spam?

ChitoYorro
I've been here awhile

I just received an email with "New Rogers" showing as the sender.  Subject title is "Your Rogers Bill is Ready".  However, I became suspicious because the amount due shown is slightly different from what I pay regularly.  I became suspicious especially when I saw that the actual sender is a certain "aidar52@hotmail.com" when I double-clicked the "New Rogers" link.  Could this be a scam or a phishing mail?  Let me know please.

Rogers e-mails say "Your Rogers bill is now available"

The from address is notifications@rci.rogers.com, which you should see from any previous e-mails.

I never click the links in e-mails. I always go to my bookmarks in my browser and sign in appropriately.  This negates any chance of getting caught by a "perfect" scam.

You have received a scam e-mail.  It probably also contains any of the following:

sounds fishing to me.  normally your bill is never emailed to you, but instead a notification, you then have to sign in to view your bill which is a secure process

Got one today  it was more than double my usual amount

I never click on links in the emails as mentioned by others

I checked in my account  & the bill is the correct amount  so suspect the email is SPAM

I always check my bill from by logging into the Official Rogers web site and then download the PDF file to my C:\ Drive.   I simply take those emails as a "hey lets log in and check your bill" reminder.
