how to turn off wireless/wifi on Xione

Greetings Everyone,

Go ahead and call me . ,  I'm sure that is what I am right now.   Switched over to ignite TV with the new Xione box.  Connected via ethernet cable.  Happy with the wired connection.  Is there a way to turn off  the wifi?   Some admin menu I can access?   For example I can turn off wifi on the gateway modem  but do not see an option in the Xione preferences.

My reasoning is since I have a wired connection  I don't need this thing keeping the wifi on  searching for a connection as a background process.   And if I save a tiny amount of electricity all the better.

You can't turn off the wifi on the ixone per say. Once wired it will work through the ethernet connection.
Are you not using the wifi on your gateway on local devices such as tablet or phone?
You can turn off the wifi on the gateway but there will always be a hidden wifi that is used for the xione for validation.
