I just added this to my Rogers account and I have still have some questions after reading through the very brief instructions and the online FAQ.
I assume that when the normal signal connection to Xfinity Modem gets interrupted, the Storm Ready unit takes over and uses the Xfinity Modem to broadcast through the Wifi.
However I have noticed in the brief time that I have had the Storm Ready unit that not all devices on the household Wifi network are able to get a proper connection to the Wifi (signal from the Storm Ready).
On one occasion, I was able to access the internet through my phone and pads, but not my Rogers TV. Another time it was the reverse where I could watch live TV, recorded content, and Apps on the Smart TV, but when I was connected to the same WiFi on another device I got the unable to reach server and no internet connection messages,
Each time I double checked that each operating and non operating item (TV, phone, PC, etc.) was connected to the Wifi. Each time I checked in the Xfinity App that my internet was down, but that the Storm Ready Wifi was filling in.
Why would the Storm Ready Wifi be providing connectivity for one device but not others? Does it limit connected devices due to bandwidth? Is there a way to allow/disallow which devices I want to provide connectivity to?
Again I have had different instances on different occasions where the TV was not connected (to a working signal not the Wifi) and my phone was, and on another occasion the reverse. They were all connected to the Wifi, but some said that there was a connection, and some said that there wasn't a connection even though they were al, connected to the same Wifi.
Also when I go to the Xfinity App and Test the connection, it will show each device connected to the Wifi Network, the connection strength, and if it is connected to the Gateway or the Storm Ready, but does the latter actually mean anything and is there a way to switch/add devices to use the Storm Ready?
Shouldn't all devices be switching over to the Storm Ready if the Gateway is not operating?
On a related note, is there a way to see connection speed and data sent by the Storm Ready Wifi App? I think that I have scrolled through all the App UI, but can only see if it is being used, is ready to be used, signal strength, and battery power.

Good morning @SonicDetail!
I am sorry to hear that you're having difficulties with our Storm Ready WiFi system.
If the app says that your devices are connected to WiFi but they're not able to load any Internet content, yet some of your devices do get an Internet connection, the issue may be device related.
Have you tried rebooting the device that isn't working or forgetting the network and attempting to reconnect to WiFi manually on the devices that aren't working?
