Series recordings consecutive episode playback

I usually watch on my PC via web browser and until December, most shows recorded as a series, you play one episode, the next one autoplays (like Netflix) and you knew it would do that since above the playback track along the bottom edge, a bubble saying "next episode" would pop up if you wanted to go to the next one

Since Dec, this has disappeared. It is disappointing and I have tried toggling on/off the "play next episode automatically" in the options (gear)  yet this has continued to be  missing. No one seems to know what to do

@akoroshi  It works for me, for On Demand episodes as well as for recorded episodes.  However, it will only work if the "Next Episode" button appears above the playback timeline, and that seems to require that you are NOT missing the next episode in the sequence.  Let's say that you have Episodes 8, 9 and 12 of a given season of some program recorded on your cloud PVR.  When you play Episode 8, Episode 9 will autoplay afterwards but playback will stop after that episode.  Since episodes 10 and 11 are missing, episode 12 will not play automatically.  (I have not tested the case of what would happen when you have several sequential episodes of a program available, with gaps in episodes on the PVR and the "missing" episodes available On Demand... but I think that autoplay should still work.)

Hi thanks but there are no missing episodes. That button simply never appears despite the "play next episode automatically" is toggled in the options gearbox

Works fine for me with Safari, Firefox, Google Chrome and Vivaldi on macOS Ventura.  Have also successfully tested with Firefox, Edge and Vivaldi on Windows 11 Pro.

If things are not working for you, try clearing your browser data (Cookies, Cache, Site Data and History) to see if that makes a difference.  You can also test playback in a clean browsing environment, such as a Guest window.

nothing has worked and this is TV Japan, up to December most series recordings popped up the next episode button but since January not, wondering if Rogers is monkeying around with TV Japan. The gear box > playback has "play next episode" toggled. Very frustrated

and one year later this is not resolved and is infuriating because until Dec 2022 it was fully available on series recorded on TV Japan. Really unacceptable
