I've been using the app to watch movies on demand on my ipad for several weeks. Suddenly the play button has disappeared and I no longer have the option to watch movies. I've restarted the ipad, and deleted and reuploaded the app. No help. I've noticed the same thing is happening on my phone as well. Any ideas?

Thanks for posting your concern here in the Rogers Community! It is certainly odd that the 'Play' button seems to have disappeared for you when using the Ignite TV app. 🤔
I did a little test at my end to see if I could duplicate the issue, however, I am not having the issue you've described and am able to play content On Demand. Just curious, do you have the latest OS updated on both devices? If you login via a web browser, do you have the same problem?
