I live in a Condo and they switched over to ignite tv the whole building with a special plan. I find that for seniors that are not tech savvy the remote is terrible and interface. Even the big button remote doesn't help. I'll point out the reasons why. The record button before on Rogers digital TV had a option when you press the Rec button it would let you choose first if you would want to record the program. Now when you press the Rec button it records automatically. Now for seniors they press it by accident not knowing and they have numerous programs filling up the cloud PVR. Each day now my parents who are seniors, i would have to delete a bunch of record programs. It's a nuisance. I tried to check the web and forums to see if you can disable to record button and i don't think there is. The last Channel button is a nuisance for seniors because now you got to press 2 buttons just to go to last CH. Another thing is when the technician came and installed the Ignite TV, they didn't even mention about setting up a PIN for purchases. I feel this is sketchy especially for SENIORS who are not tech savvy. The first day they accidently bought a movie not knowing. I then after had to setup a PIN. I went and check the web and forums again and found numerous seniors getting billed over thousands of dollars because of this issue and not knowing at first. Your technicians should tell the customers about setting up a PIN when they install Ignite TV, especially seniors. Whoever engineered the remote looks like they didn't care about Seniors.

Hello, @Partheon
Thank you for providing us with your feedback on the Ignite TV remote and the installation experience.
Regrettably, we do not have the option to remove the record button but you can manage the recording remotely using the Ignite TV app. It is disappointing to hear that the purchase PIN was not setup when the system was installed. I am glad to hear you were able to help them get that setup.
We will be sure to pass along your feedback to the product managers to review.

That's unfortunate but thanks for replying. It's been frustrating for seniors.
