Hi All,
I am trying to setup my Harmony 665 Remote to change the channels on my Rogers Xi6 box but it only allows me to control the volume. I have tried over and over in my Harmony software to set it up, but when I try to configure ChannelUp and ChannelDown buttons by aiming the remotes as per the instructions, nothing happens. The only thing that's effective is the Volume and Guide. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Dale

Sorry for the late response. This morning I had to delete and start all over again by removing the Xi6 then deleting it each time it did not work. On the 6th try, it eventually worked, so now I have full control with my Harmony 665 remote.
Thank you very much for your help. Much appreciated.

What do you mean by this? Are you trying to use the "teach/learn" function using the Rogers remote? This should not be necessary. When you are in the Harmony setup software, you should be able to tell the setup programming which equipment you are trying to control. That should be the Rogers Xi6, or perhaps xfinity Xi6 or Comcast Xi6. There should be no need for the teach/learn process. Just tell the Harmony setup routine what equipment you have. Then connect the 665 to the computer via the dongle and "load" the new information into the remote. The 665 remote should then have all the functionality of the Rogers remote (excepting voice commands obviously).
Be aware the the Xi6 box is very finicky when it comes to picking up the IR signals from IR remotes like the 665. You have to point the Harmony remote directly at the box and it cannot be hidden in any way. When testing, try to be very close to the box. Some people have used the Harmony Hub successfully, but as I mentioned, the Harmony remotes can be very finicky when it comes to controlling the Xi6 since it's using IR instead of RF like the Rogers remote does.

I was in the Harmony setup and I told it exactly what I was using, which is the Xi6. It accepted that and as I mentioned, the Volume works, as well as the guide, but the channel up & down did not. I've done this on many of my devices and I've never had an issue until this piece of equipment. I currently have Koid, my Denon amp, TV, and other devices working. I also never had to setup anything additional with them, except for the delays of course.
I have 2 Harmony remotes. The Harmony One, as well as the Harmony 665, and both don't work for the channels. I am at a complete lost.

Is the Harmony controlling the channels on the TV instead of the channels on the Rogers box? It's been a few years since I've programmed Harmony remotes for my clients and I don't utilize a Harmony remote myself.
I know there are instructions that you need to provide as to which piece of equipment controls the volume (your Denon I assume). Is there a similar instruction for "channels" where you need to tell the Harmony setup to control the channels on the box and not the TV.
Are all of the other functions that are on the Rogers remote working via the Harmony - FF, REW, confirm, Exit, Record? And the "hard or soft buttons" like A, B, C, D, Rogers, i, left arrow, etc

@shedrock : Glad to hear you got it resolved. Not sure why it would take so many tries, but if you haven't used the connection dongle in a while, it may have oxidized and had a poor connection when trying to update the remote from the computer. Did you get a "confirmation message" on the remote or computer that it was properly updated? Sometimes you can remove oxidation for a better connection simply be connecting and disconnecting the dongle several times at both ends...

Yes, I got a confirmation message that it was updated.

Solution I used. I have the 665 as well. When you go to the MyHarmony app to enter the Rogers box information, it won't recognize it.... So you it will offer up a few alternatives like Xfinity, Comcast and Shaw....it will also ask you if "you're sure" you got the Rogers model number correct...ignore that.
I picked the Shaw option because it was canadian...it works and controls my Rogers box now....
