I am using the eSIM. I have this line turned on and data roaming on this line., I turned off the data roaming on my Rogers primary line. My bill shows no data used since I am travelling. No charge for any calls received through WhatsApp, my eSIM data is going down but I am being charged daily for Roam like home!!!! Why. I don’t understand.

Here is a link on how to avoid roaming charges. If you don't remove your Rogers SIM, or if you don't always stay in Airplane mode, it is highly likely you will see roaming charges due to the points outlined in the link:
