Anyone else have issues trying to pause internet on the new Xfinity control app for the router? Whenever I try to pause any device, I get and error message: "Devices couldn't be paused. please try again later". I've tried many times, have tried resetting the router, the app...etc...seems this new app is just garbage.
My rogers rogers router is the XB8.

Do you have the latest Rogers TV box feeding your TV, via a WiFi connection to your XB8 -- not by Ethernet cable? If so, there is a separate path through the XB8, and the "pause" function is for devices connected to the XB8 via Ethernet cable or by using the SSID/password for WiFi devices such as your notebook computer and/or your iPhone. So, "pause" will stop your computer(s) and your WiFi devices, but not the TV signals.
Note that every Rogers subscriber can have very-slow Internet (10 Mbps) and still will get enough "high-speed" communications to their TV box. Two separate circuits.
