I plan to stick around

How do I upgrade my router security to WPA2 (AES) or WPA3 on the Gen2 Ignite wi-fi gateway?

Thanks!

By default, the WiFi Security Mode on your Ignite XB7 gateway should be set to "WPA2-PSK (AES)".   (You can confirm this by going to http://10.0.0.1 , logging in as admin, and going to "Gateway > Connection > Wi-Fi")

The XB7 supports 802.11ax but does not (currently) support WPA3.

If you initially connected your iPhone to a Wi-Fi 6 access point that supports WPA3 security, and reuse that same network name and passphrase on your XB7, and then try to connect the iPhone to the XB7's WiFi, the iPhone will complain since the security modes do not match and the XB7 does not support WPA3.  (I'm trying to guess what might be causing the iPhone to complain.  Your XB7 supports and should be running WPA2-PSK (AES).)
