I've been around

Almost all of my emails including those archived are gone.  Where could they be and how  can I recover them?

Hello, @mread.

Welcome to our Community, and thank you for your post!

The emails that have gone missing can be troublesome. If you always use webmail and they were there for up to seven days ago, you can create a Restore Request.

Good to know points before submitting the Request:

  • Emails in the Spam and Draft folders will not be restored.
  • Emails in the Trash folder will be restored to the Inbox.
  • Emails in the Sent/Archive/custom folders will be restored to Inbox.
  • Emails deleted more than seven days ago are not recoverable.
  • Recovering previously deleted emails does not affect emails already present in the account.

Steps to create a Restore Request:

  • From a desktop browser, like Chrome, open Recover lost or deleted emails.
  • Carefully read the Keep in mind and What will happen details before starting the restore process.
  • Click Send a Restore Request.
  • Login to the @rogers.com email address that you wish to restore the emails.
  • Fill in the required fields and type in the verification code.
  • Type in the verification code and click Create Request to submit.

The above steps may slightly differ depending on if you were already logged into your email account.

All the best!

Cheers,

RogersMoin

Re: Rogers Yahoo email:

Thanks for your information above.  I have a similar situation and the link you provided only seems to work if the emails disappeared less than 8 days ago.  So my issue is:

Rogers Yahoo email  in a Safari browser,  only accessed via that browser on a MacBook.

Suddenly ALL emails from about a year ago are now gone and I don't know when that happened ( 7 days ago? or 7 weeks ago? or ....)   I NEED some of those emails and have been trusting Rogers/Yahoo to keep them safely in the cloud for me.

2 questions:   1.  Can I get them back and if so how?   2.  How do I keep from losing more in the future?

Thanks for any help you can provide or direction to experts who can help.

Re: Rogers Yahoo email:

Greetings @Greg402!

Often in cases like this, there's an email client on the computer that has downloaded all the emails unbeknownst to the user.

Could you please check any of the email programs installed on your computer just to be sure?

Regards,

RogersCorey
