I have Rogers Xfinity Internet Pro 2 G service but I am only getting 980 MBPS. I have talked to tech support and they said there is nothing wrong on their end. I have changed my cable to cat6a, cat7 and cat8 but the speed still the same. I double checked my motherboard NIC and it is spporting 2.5G ethernet speed (ASUS B650E). Can someone help me to solve the problem please

I have searched in the forum and got the answer. Rogers Xfinity Modem Gen 3 Port 1 to Por 3 are max 1GB connection only Port 4 is Multi-Gig Port which support up to 2.5G speed. If anyone has issue with the speed, please make sure you plug your computer into Port 4 not the other ones. Thank you all for help

One of the tips in the following post will probably contain the help you need.
https://communityforums.rogers.com/t5/Internet/Troubleshooting-Slow-Speeds/td-p/542833
For example, do you have an XB7 or XB8 Gateway? Are you plugged into port 4, etc?
The fact that you are getting just under 1 Gbps strongly indicates a hardware limitation.
