Internet Ping Spikes

I've been here awhile

I have been having internet ping issues while gaming for a couple weeks now. The issues are making all of my games unplayable. My tests are as follows:

Packets: Sent = 50, Received = 49, Lost = 1 (2% loss),

Hi @Nyx,

Welcome to the Rogers Community Forums, and thank you for starting this thread regarding your connection. We thank you for providing the test results.

Are you noticing the issue with latency only while gaming, or are you having issues with your internet connection in general?

Also, is this only occurring at a specific time of day or is it happening all the time?

We look forward to your reply!

Regards

RogersJermaine

there appear to be issues with the tv/cable as well. i'm not entirely sure if they are related but the connection drops from time to time. the ping issues appear on my phone, laptop and wired pc. they happen quite often and have no specific times.

when running a ping test on the wired connection, these are my results:

Re: Internet Ping Spikes

Hello, @Nyx

We appreciate you providing us with your ping test results. I know how frustrating it is to deal with high ping spikes.

Can you provide us with the results from a traceroute? We would be able to see if the latency is occurring inside the Rogers network and try to pinpoint where the issue is happening.

We look forward to reviewing your results.
