Hi~ I'm using ignite streaming + home internet 1.5G bundle service since on June. I received the modem gen2 when be installed by technician. But I found out a while ago. What The 3rd generation modem has already(in January) been released and I should have received that model. I'm receiving unfair service. I paid the same usage fee but do not receive support for the latest technology. How do you solve this unfair? If you are in my case?

@ardorpapa1029 what modem model you received on the installation date would have been dependant on what modem models the tech had in his or her van. If the tech only had an XB7 modems with him or her, that's what you would have ended up with. While you perceive this as being unfair, its simply a matter of luck.
Its possible that Rogers is still reserving the XB8 modems for fibre customers, don't know the status of that at the present time. If you are a fibre customer, then yes, you should probably have received an XB8. If you didn't, once again it is simply a matter of availability.
If you call tech support, you might be able to convince the tech to swap the modem, and possibly have a field tech drop it off Don't know, it never hurts to try.
