Forgot password and security question does not work HELP

For several days now I have tried Passwords and Security answer but nothing works.  It seems that I need to put in the answer to a security question that I know the answer to but it doesn’t work. So how can I change my password.  I am not a tech person so please keep it simple. Thank you a very frustrated user.
