Disconnects

I've been here awhile

Internet loses connectivity several times a day.  I am in Kanata and it was just out again for 40 minutes.  Unacceptable service.

Thank you for posting your concern, and welcome to our Community!

 

Intermittent Internet can be bothersome. Knowing more about the problem will help us find a remedy for you:

  • Are the disconnections happening on both WiFi and Wired devices?
  • Does the modem's light change during disconnections? Like flashing amber, etc.
  • If you have other services, like TV and Home Phone, do they stay connected?
  • Can you post Downstream, Upstream signal tables from the modem?

Serviceman arrived today and put an attenuator on line to balance it.  He said that after looking at logs of my service that attributed to 60% of disconnects and street problems accountable for other 40 %.  Street problems should be corrected in a week.  Both WiFi and Ethernet service affected.  Modem light changes.  All services disconnect. Ping test fails.  No disconnects since repairman visit, so hopefully problem solved.
