Constant disconnects with Roger’s/Shaw ignite service

Trencher69
I've been here awhile
I’ve had 4 techs out here in the last 2 weeks to fix my internet issues. The connection drops randomly throughout the day between 5-30 seconds at a time and continues until I either remove and re-add the coaxial cable or power cycle the modem.

Every tech has said the line is hot but the pad they added would fix it (went from 8 to a 6 and back to an 8 again and they showed me the numbers are green) but I’m sure it’s caused by the line being too “hot” as this issue only started happening after Roger’s did some type of “upgrade” at the box at the end of my street which boosted the signal from the perfectly fine numbers I had 3 weeks ago into the red that required the pad. They refuse to send someone out here to lower the amount of DB running to the lines and will only send level 1 guys out who can’t do much to fix the issue when it’s obviously a problem outside my home. They’ve replaced the line going to my modem, the modem itself and the wall jack to no avail. I work from home so this NEEDS to be fixed… but I’m at my wits end trying to get Roger’s to actually take my complaint seriously. I’ve been forced to fill out a BBB complaint to them which hopefully gets their attention… but I’d love to know if there’s something I could do such as add another pad to my modems end of the line or what to tell the support team who might get them to actually send a supervisor out here to look at this issue.

Good morning @Trencher69,

I am sorry to hear of your ongoing Internet issues. I understand the importance of a solid connection when you're working from home. If you've already had 4 techs out in the past 2 weeks, then we've already crossed the threshold for a supervisor escalation.

We'd be happy to take a closer look to see what is going on! Please feel free to send a private message to @CommunityHelps so we can assist you further. For more information on how our Private Messaging system works, you can find out more here.

Regards,

RogersCorey
