1.5 gig plan acting as a 1 gig after infrasturcture service work in the area

FredGarvin
I plan to stick around

There was some infrastructure work being done in my area (Stouffville area, we were notified of it) back on October 24th.  Other than a few outages everything came back to normal until I ran my morning speed tests on Thursday.

I run nine sites with the embedded Speed Test and three using a browser.

Since my Ignite upgrade in May, I typically get 1.8 to 1.9 gig on the embedded sites.

The browser sites run from 500 to the occasional 1.2 gig.

Since that Thursday morning my embedded speed tests are like a 1 gig plan.

Sites where I repeatedly got high 1.8 to low 1.9 gig are now 900 to 1.2 gig.

Basically on most of them I've lost 1 gig.

I've rebooted the XB7 twice.

I can't speed test with the Xfinity app on my cell as it times out and says "Gateway speed test isn't available right now".  Still doing that this morning.

Spoke to a level 1 on Saturday  who couldn't do anything so he sent the problem upstairs.

Received a robocall this morning from the support group saying they tried to reach me and left a ticket number.

I had no texts, emails or even the notice of a phone call on my cell or home phone.

Good old Anna doesn't have a ticket on the account and I wasn't hanging around in 38th call hold place.

Would one of our great (great because they helped me out before with old digital cable problems)  moderators be able to look into this?

To me it looks like that after the area service, when the XB7 got rebooted it was told that I have 1 gig plan.
