When will Rogers make an Ignite TV app for Apple TV

Its very annoying that I need to pay $10 a month for another Smartstream box when I already own an Apple TV and would prefer to use that device. Bell Fibe TV has had an Apple TV app for a few years already, when can we expect Rogers to pay some engineers to build this app for TVOS?

Ignite is the Rogers brand name of Comcast's Xfinity system.

Rogers does not do it's own major development on Ignite. As such, Rogers won't have an app for Ignite until Comcast develops one for XFinity.

That being said, with an IPTV delivery system, there is no excuse other than greed that there isn't an app for the major streaming operating systems.

Agree, how can we submit this as a feature request. I’m sure it’s already been mentioned before. Maybe even by me.

As long as they can charge you an extra $7 for their cable box they'll  never create an apple tv app.

It’s sad because bell does offer this feature. I guess Rogers is just lagging behind the competition.
