Ignite vs Gateway

Dug320
I plan to stick around

Gateway was shut down and I was forced to migrate to Ignite.  After 9 days of using Ignite I cannot recommend it as service/product.

Gateway.  Yes it was quirky, without shortcuts and shut down without a discernible reason but it worked.  Gateway allowed me to record years of shows (and still watch today) with the ability to expand an external hard drive.   Gateway had a memory buffer of 2 hours for two channels and it was automatic.  Change channels, pause, change rooms and rewind/fast forward without issues.  Buttons on remote commanded functions without resorting to "mic" feature which is valued when you cannot utter specific words correctly. Gateway did not draw upon the Internet (HD-10Mbps, 4K-30Mbps) service to the household.  Gateway was cheap to own as used boxes were low cost to purchase or free.
