Long-distance 3rd party providers

Does anyone have the list of the approved long-distance 3rd party providers that Rogers will allow for long-distance? We recently switched to Rogers, and we have used Startec for years, either when with Bell before or even with Rogers years ago. Apparently, Startec is not approved anymore, and Rogers rejects requests from Startec to have them as our long-distance provider. It is frustrating as Startec (or Lingo Communications) has the best rates.

Rogers generally don’t block 3rd party LD providers. If you are looking to use direct dial services, then it should be compatible with Rogers however, you still need to dial an access number from your cell phone before making a LD call.

This request is for a home phone, not for cell number. Previously with Bell, we could dial directly without any access number any LD numbers, and we would be billed by the 3rd party for those calls and pay Bell for the local service. Rogers says that Lingo Communication is not approved as a 3rd party LD provider, but other 3rd party providers are approved. Now, when Lingo Communications / Startec tries to take over the LD from Rogers, Rogers rejects the request.

since that provider is not going to work with rogers have u tried looking into alternative 3rd party long distance providers? there are plenty of alternatives., you can do a google search and compare the rates as well
