Not going to get into a big story and rant about price increase coming to Rogers’ Entertainment boxes mid September.

 

- Everybody has a choice with a provider. !!!
- Or go to a service that you can buy the box and get 5,000 channels

- There are alternatives. 
- There is the internet is here, not just cable anymore.

- There are free apps free shows and programming example: CBC Gem, Global TV, CTV, TVO, YES TV, City TV, APTN,  A&E, Tubi, Pluto, Plex, Distro, Stingray Music, most world news channels ei.- CP 24, CTV News Channel, Bloomberg, CityNews 24/7, Aljazerra, NHK, Euronews, France 24, Fox News, CBS News, ABC,News, NBCnews

If you are not bound to Rogers ( condo, apartment) there lots of options, alternatives with different TV and internet providers. With the internet we are not bound to one provider any more. 
As with purchasing your grocery’s, clothes or going to any retail store there is a variety of options where you find the right price. 
We are not locked into any term or contract we pay month to month, we have the accessibility discount, took the Flex platform as not to have kids or sports channels as we don’t need them. Many broadcasters are not just providing their signal to Rogers, Bell etc. they are using apps and the internet. ( and majority are Free)

In my opinion it is not worth the time arguing with Rogers as we just have seen with Corus Entertaiment in their alleged claim that Rogers is weaponizing their business.

Remember you are the consumer you have options, alternatives and the power to say no to Rogers and go where you get the services you want at a competitive price.

Even if you escalate your complaint to Rogers’ Office of the President they will treat your complaint on a case by case base. Unless there is a mad exodus of 1000’ s upon 1000’s of subscribers with complaints about this Entertainment Box increase.

 

Last winter there was to be a Free Preview of the Canadian and U. S. Timeshift channels depending on your region for two consecutive weekends. In fact somebody on this Forum post all the free previews which include the U.S and Canadian timeshift them with dates. A lot on this forum complained why weren’t they in Free Preview. I did contact the Office of the President did get a credit of $36 plus taxes for a year. Wasn’t really interested in those channels but Rogers advertised them and they didn’t appear. For your inconvenience with every complaint Rogers will offer you, 2 months off of Crave, or Hollywood Suite to basically get rid of you and shut you up.

 

So basically move on to another service provider that provides you service and pricing the best suits you and your family or use the Rogers Ignite app (Free) in place of a box and cast from your phone or IPad to your second or third TV.

Just move on.

Rogers has received more complaints themselves and the CCTS up 43 % up 118 %  than any other service provider. Are they listening to their subscribers??? Or are they just doing what they want and ignoring us all. And gouging as much as they can for as long as they can. 70% increase for additional for an additional Ignite entertainment box.
