Back Order

Hi,When i ordered an iphone 15 it said it was ready to be shipped and would arrive in 1-2 weeks. I ordered the phone on the 13th of august and now it says back ordered as the status. Is there a way to know how long does back order mean? or if it’s available somewhere else because I saw there were some at the apple store?
