Android no longer able to send group text messages

I've had my pixel 7 for a few years and this week is stopped sending group texts. Everything else seems to be working fine. I've done all the suggestions from the trouble shooting and no success. Any ideas? Do I need a new SIM card?

Is your device rooted? Are you using Google Messages? Google over the past few months has been making some changes to Google Messages that affect rooted users. RCS will not function at all and some other features might not work properly.
If your device isn't rooted. Make sure whatever messaging app you are using is up to date. Have you tried deleting the group messages and then recreating the group with a new message? If those group messages contain iPhone users. That can cause issues because iMessage has to be set for non-iMessage contacts to send those replies via SMS/MMS instead of through iMessage servers. RCS with iOS 18 should address this issue to see degree now that Apple has decided to adopt RCS before the EU forces them to.

Device is not rooted. Not using Google Messages. Tried all "toggle" off/on suggestions, checked everything recommended by Rogers....I have another app I can use. I'll just wait until it is reported as a larger issue and an update/fix is issued. Thank you.
