Was I ripped off by online chat on Rogers website?

Rockerduck
I've been here awhile

I’m a Fido Customer who saw an email for a plan for $70 for 150GB, I asked the online assistant about this and chatted with someone who said he could get me that.

However, my bill shows it’s $110 for the plan and I’m not happy about this, will the amount of the plan change when I get my phone and transfer my phone number to Rogers?

Please help me on this matter.

You will need to take a close look at your confirmation emails and your bill.

Yes, it's normal for you to see the Rogers plan at its full price but you should also see additional "Promotions and Discounts" credits that lower that monthly price.  If you got the same migration offer that I saw posted recently, the $110/month plan comes with a $30/month discount and an additional $10/month autopay discount.  If you see those credits on your paperwork, you should be good to go.

One other thing: If you did the Fido-to-Rogers migration via chat rather than online via self-serve, you will probably also incur a $70 activation fee.

If you still have any remaining questions or concerns, you can also send a private message to @CommunityHelps .  Once they authenticate you as the account holder, they should be able confirm whether or not your discounts got applied by the Chat agent.
