Upgrade iphone with same size sim card

Hi - I have an iphone 12 mini.  I'd like to buy a later model but one with the same size sim card so I can keep my existing plan. How do I know which iphone to choose?

Recent iPhones purchased in Canada have the same size SIM card.  This assumes they have a SIM slot since some very new phones (Purchased in the US) don't have a SIM slot, only eSIM. See the following link.

Note that the SIM and the plan can be separate, so that should not really be a concern.
