Recently, I tried to sign up for WhatsApp, and it keeps saying it can't send me an SMS. I've done everything - reinstalled the app, restarted the phone, followed several suggestions as per YouTube videos, and still nothing. What is the solution to this as it's impossible to reach WhatsApp support?
The country displayed was Canada, which was correct, with the +1 automatically showing, which is also correct. I should also note that when I called the "Call Me" option, I received a call, and the message said, "To receive your verification code, press ___". I've tried it several times and got random numbers like "0", "2", and even "9". Then nothing happens.
Rogers asked me to text INFO to 79015 and I did receive a reply but cannot receive the WhatsApp registration code.
Now, the tap call icon is frozen.

I understand your frustration with being unable to receive the WhatsApp verification code. You've already tried several troubleshooting steps based on the information you provided. Would you mind listing them all so we don't ask you to try the same thing again?
If the tap call is not available, most likely due to several attempts, it might have been locked.
What's the make and model of your phone? Are you using a pSIM or an eSIM?

My wife has exactly the same problem. Her old phone died and now she is not getting the SMS text from WhasApp to re-register. Call me option was going to the voicemail which was stranged. I browsed blocked phone number and could not find the WhatsApp number used to make the called (so why did it go to the voicemail)? Voice mail is useless because it records only one number.
Anyways, I added this number as a Favorite (to ensure it is not blocked). After that, the Call me did ring but VERY unfortunately she missed the codes and nw the Call Me option doesn't appear.
It really appears Rogers is blocking the text/calls. Is there a way to unblock all numbers (specially for text messages)?

We will try our best to get this resolved for you. What device is your wife using? Have you already tried to uninstall and reinstall the app? Are you able to receive short code messages from other sources?
