Rogers charging me cancelation fees after 2 months

shamratdewan
I've been here awhile

I was in Rogers Xfinity Gateway (Gen 2) internet connection but i had to move to a new location where Rogers is not available. So rogesr suggested me to tranfer this line to comwave which i did. But now Rogesrs came back and charging me cancelation fees denying the fact that i have tranfered my line to comwave which was suggested by them. So basically as i am leaving Rogers they charged me cancelation fees, and Now as i am a comwave customer Rogers has managed to sale me to comwave as well!!!  Completly denying the fact that there is anything called tranfer. if there is no trasfer then who told you to suggest me to another providers name. i can get the internet whereever i want.

I plan to stick around

I agree with you, the company is now Rogers together with Comwave and they should have waived the cancellation fee.

When they "suggested" you switch to comwave, did they also "suggest" to refund your cancellation fees as well?  Were you aware you were in a contract and there was a penalty to cancel it?

THere is nothing in the terms of service or fine print that cancelling and switching to another company under the rogers corporate umbrella will result in waived cancellation fees, it must be specifically mentioned and offered by the agent if they have the authority to do such.

lets park the refund part for a while, why they have to suggect another company to me in any situation. To me they said: to avoid the cancelation you tranfer the line to comwave. then ask comwave to inform rogers that the user has activated his line, which i did, comwave website has a option to inform where you came from. but than Rogers just changed the word to cancelation and send me bill after two months. So rogers and comwave wanted me to confirm i came from where just to make sure their internal commision or what? Also, 2nd part if you accept any solution here  what happens or is this platform is just a gimmick discussion. Rogers gives freebies for people to advocate on their behalf?

Re: Rogers charging me cancelation fees after 2 months

also looking at the emails and website of comwave its very difficult to say they are diffrent company, which is ofcourse beyound my concern.
