Rogers and Likewize - Feedback

Phlinko
I've been here awhile

Be careful trading in phones with Rogers.
They utilize a 3rd party company that manages tradeins/repairs

I traded in a phone (S10) to get the tradein credit and a $350 promotional tradein bonus.
Now they find fault in the phone and reduce the tradein value 75% and zero out the promotion. I've taken photos before I shipped the device, and even the photos they show me do not show what they are complaining about.

Nice that they lure customers in with these tradein promotions to get upgrade/activations done, and then the customer loses out on the promotions. This is such bad practice.

Hello @Phlinko,

Welcome to the Rogers Community Forums and thank you for your post!

We appreciate your feedback on your most recent experience and we do thank you for your loyalty. Were you provided with a quote before sending in your device? The quote value is based on certain criteria and devices that do not meet those can be subject to a lower trade in value. You can find out more on our Trade Up Program here

Regards

I get it, as this spiel has been used multiple times. However when the faults that the company pointed out are not present in the pictures given, then the actions have to be questioned.

For likewize to turn around and say it's not open for discussion, then stop replying to my followup is just poor customer service.

Still waiting on follow up call from Rogers

Re: Rogers and Likewize - Feedback

@Phlinko, was the issue escalated with likewize? The call back time frame is usually 48 hours. Was there an escalation made through Rogers?

Just need a little bit more info to assist you further.

I asked Likewize to escalate the issue. They have now become unresponsive. Rogers should look into using a different partner for tradein/repairs.
