Porting a Parked number from NumberBarn to Rogers

keithcathy
I've been around

I have a local wireless number, currently with another carrier. It appears to be easily portable to Rogers. my problem is, I don’t want to use that number for several months, so am planning to park it with a service called “NumberBarn” until I am ready to add it to my Rogers service. NumberBarn will allow me to port it out to another service but their website suggests checking with your future service provider to make sure they can port it. I am wondering if anyone has successfully done this. The following wording is from. NumberBarn’s website:

The majority of carriers will accept phone number transfers from NumberBarn. Some mobile carriers have policies that only allow them to port in "wireless" phone numbers. NumberBarn's numbers are classified as "wireline" and that classification can not be modified by NumberBarn. Check with your new carrier first.”

Hello, @keithcathy.

Welcome to Rogers Community Forums!

Thank you for your detailed post. You should be able to port in your number from your parked number service provider. Please make sure you have the account number handy during the port in process.

Please be advised that occasionally, port in may fail for reasons beyond our control.

Community - Has anybody tried porting in your number to Rogers as discussed here?

Cheers,

RogersMoin
