I have spent 3 hours trying to cancel both my husband and mine cell phone service. Trying to give 30 days notice according to the contract. My husband account was cancelled and mine they are having a problem with. Three hours for them to say my account has to have a $0 balance to process canceling. I was disconnected three times. I just made an additional payment. The next bill is not due for three weeks. How do you get a $0 balance in order to cancel. Why would I pay for services in advance to cancel so I can wait months for a credit. Bye bye Rogers!!!!!! Still waiting to formally cancel

6Hello @frustrated247 ,
Thank you for posting your cancellation concerns in our community forums.
When cancelling your mobile services, advance notice should not be required. You are allowed to cancel on the same day you are reaching out to us. The only time where we may run into a snag with cancelling your services right away, is if your account is temporarily suspended for non-payment due to a past due balance. In this case, you may need to speak with our Credit Operations team to set-up your request.
Also, as far as I'm aware, you do not need to have a $0 balance in order to have your account cancelled.
Although we do not have the power to cancel a mobile service here in the community forums, we can have a closer look at your account to see what's going on. Feel free to send us a Private Message @CommunityHelps to get started. For more information on how our Private Messaging system works, please check out our blog.
Kind regards,
RogersYasmine
