Can i pay for a financed phone upfront without losing the credits?

pktlam
I plan to stick around

say for example i want to get a s24ultra and it's advertised at $35 instead of $75 with a monthly promo credit of around $40.. can i payoff the phone say $216 tax (the full amount tax of phone without credit) + the $840 ($35x24) at the beginning?? or i would lose the $40 credit and all of a sudden be charged $40 extra per month for the credit of the phone? because it's technically $75 per month-$40 credit.. or would it show up on my bill as $40-$40 credit?

You would technically "lose" the credit, since there wouldn't be anything to credit because your phone would be paid in full.

The way these credits work, is based on the 24 month term. Each month the device is on this 24 month promotion, you get a credit towards the device balance. If you were to pay off the device right away, you would have to pay the full retail price of the device. The promotion is designed to ensure you keep your lone with Rogers for the length of the term, which is 24 months or 2 years in this example.
