I have ported my prepaid services with rogers to postpaid. They said that they need to run a credit check prior activating my account. The credit check operator confirmed that this will have no impact to my credit score. After my credit check went through, I called the agent the next day to create the account, the agent asked me if the credit card on file can be utilized for the automatic payments and i confirmed by yes. A month later i received an email saying my bills are past due. Checked my credit score right away and to my credit score went down. If the Rogers system fail to process automatic payments why my credit score being penalized?

Hi @Mehdi20,
Welcome to the Rogers Community Forums! We appreciate you taking the time to post your inquiry, and we hope you can find all the answers to any question or concern you may have here!
A credit evaluation is required for the activation of new services, as we typically would not have done one or required a previous one completed for our prepaid services, which would be a hard inquiry.
Since it can take a full billing cycle for your first pre-authorized payment to be withdrawn, it is advisable that if you have a balance on your account, to make a payment to avoid any late payment charges. To help ensure you never miss a payment, you can also set up SMS notifications through your MyRogers account with the steps outlined here.
Thank you
