digital cable box after switching to Ignite

Hi, I just switched to Ignite TV. I'm wondering if my Nextbox or the older Explorer box will still work? I was going to run cable out to the garage and put one of them out there.

No they will not work. They are obsolete

In theory the Nextbox can still work, but it seems that you can't have both Ignite/Xfinity and older digital cable at the same time.

In my office we still have Nextbox devices and they work.

once you switch to xfinity (formerly ignite) the line to your house is no longer provisioned for legacy digital cable tv services and you can only use xfinity tv and internet.

Having switched to Ignite in March 2024, our TV conncted to an analog box no long er works - message says 'service interruption, contact your service provider'. Is there any way we get still get this analog box to work? Thanks.

They are not analog boxes, they are digital cable set top boxes,   you can never get them to work ever, that is the whole point of moving people over to Ignite/xfinity.  they want to discontinue this old technology for good.
