I plan to stick around

Why is Rogers putting the feed from CTV over the NBC channel.  When I got NBC I expect to see an NBC feed, Not a CTV feed.

It's called a simsub (simultaneous substitution).  Happens all the time when the same programme airs on the Canadian and US channel.  It's mandated and there's nothing you can do about it.  If you want to see the US commercials, search for a website on the internet - most of them should be there.  See the following link for a detailed explanation. Even discusses the Super Bowl specifically.

Yeah what 57 said, It's called a Simsub, These have been going on for a long time, not sure how you just noticed this now?  When ever I used to watch Wheel of Fortune on an American Station, they would show the Same Feed from the Canadian channel which was airing Wheel of Fortune,  I remember this even as a young kid, this is NOT New, we just are used to it since its been like this since I was a little kid.

A few years ago the CRTC let them show the US feeds without the Simsub as an experiment...but it lasted only the one year.

I used my OTA system for NBC this year and the commercials make the whole experience.  It is a shame they did not continue the "experiment".

It wasn't an experiment. Read the link I provided in post 2 of this thread.  I provide the link again below directly to the Super Bowl section:

Ah...I did not scroll far enough.

Still...it was only for 1 year before Bell squashed it.

I watched it OTA. It was a perfect day for OTA reception, and the commercials really added to the event.
