Late-Night talk shows have always been problematic for Canadian channels because of the different ways they receive and broadcast the content.
I watch Fallon on CTV2 Barrie, which will quite often air faulty portions of Fallon (glitching or cut audio and video, due to incompetence and/or faulty incoming American feed. That's why for Fallon, it's often best to also record it later, on any other American or even perhaps Canadian channel.
CityTv Toronto used to have major and frequent video and audio problems when it was sim-subbing Jimmy Kimmel with ABC . But now that CityTv has the feed prerecorded and ready for broadcast,, even without having to always wait for an ABC SIM-SUB. It's now virtually flawless every time because there is more time to insert the Canadian commercials and make sure the finished product is near perfect.
Global Toronto no longer sim-subs Colbert and After Midnight with the earlier CBS Buffalo broadcast. Yet Global Toronto still uses the same CBS Buffalo feed, even including the exact same video/audio glitches that appeared on the earlier Buffalo feed. Luckily, there are only some bad Buffalo feeds.
