Rogers service available using generator

We have Ignite TV and internet. Hydro One is doing a scheduled power outage where we live in a huge area in and around Caledonia, ON. This will be overnight for 8 hrs on June 3 2023 from 10 pm until 6 am.

We will have access to a borrowed generator and I'm wondering if we connect our TV, gateway and the TV cable box to the generator, will our TV and internet work?

This depends. For example, if the Rogers node that feeds your neighbourhood is "down", then you will not have service.   Most nodes no longer have battery backup, or that backup may only last a short time and not 8 hours...  You may be able to get an answer if you provide Rogers with your exact location by contacting @CommunityHelps  via PM or other way outside this forum, which is a public forum and doesn't allow such details.  But even then, it may be difficult to predict.
